Service Providers
- Provide complete and detailed listings. The more information you provide about yourself and your service the more interest you will create.
- Stand behind your listings. List services that you can do well and in a timely manner. This is the best advice for getting great ratings, positive feedback and lots of job offers. Too busy? No problem! “Pause” your service, and then “Play” it when you have some more time.
- Don’t forget that you are offering local services. These are people who will turn to you again if you do a great job and will be happy to share their experience at the next PTA meeting. So be courteous – be helpful, smile, and try to go the extra mile (pun intended)
- Feel free to choose whether or not to post your phone number and/or email. If you’re not comfortable with that, users will be able to message you directly to your email from built-in message box. Just remember: leaving your phone number can be a quicker and more efficient way to get the job.
- Great at a bunch of things? Awesome! Post a different service for every skill. Don’t try to cram in different services in one post – it can get confusing. Users will always see the other services you provide on the side of the page.
- Set the right price for the right service. An attractive price will lead to being hired, which will lead to positive feedback, which will lead to more jobs, which will lead to more money in your pocket.
- Do things you love doing. We can tell on your face while working whether you like what you are doing or not.
- Don’t be shy – ask to be rated on Cananybody. Users will always check ratings and reviews before contacting someone. The better the reviews, the more your phone will ring.
Service Seekers
- Yup. It’s free.
- Browse the service list in your area. You’ll find someone to help with the things you are not so good at, or you can’t seem to fit into your schedule.
- Make sure to check out the rating and reviews of the service provider. That can be a great indication of their work. Make sure also to rate someone who you hired. It can be great help for others.
- Not everyone likes sharing their phone number at first. If there is no phone number, message them in order to make initial contact. If there is a phone number, what are you waiting for?!
- Cananybody is a platform for finding neighborly helpers in your area. One click and you can get hold of their contact info. Contact them via phone, email, whatever works for you!
